2020 has been an extraordinary year for many changes, hardships, and prioritizing (or reprioritizing) the important things in life. Our community has been resilient and able to overcome the challenges we’ve faced. Budgets are tight, but the need for something to celebrate is bigger.

In years past, the Stilwell Firework Show has been primarily funded by the Kiwanis Club and City of Stilwell, but with budget constraints due to the coronavirus pandemic, Carson Community Bank and the Tom J. and Edna M. Carson Foundation (TEMCF) will be completely funding the 2020 Stilwell Firework Show.

The 2020 Firework Show is dedicated in honor of Tom J. Carson, who passed away in September 2019. Tom was a lifelong resident of Stilwell, WWII veteran, banker, rancher, philanthropist, and family man.

“My dad was committed to improving this community. Providing a way to help the community by easing the pressure on local governments and community organizations due to the COVID-19 pandemic is a great way to honor his legacy,” said Jim Carson, Carson Community Bank CEO and Administrator for the Tom J. and Edna M. Carson Foundation.

The 2020 Firework Show will be held on July 4 and begin after dark. Fireworks can be seen from almost anywhere in the city and we hope residents enjoy the show.

This event is sponsored by Carson Community Bank and the Tom J. and Edna M. Carson Foundation
