Maryetta School has named their Top 10 students for 2020-2021 school year, Hayley Dillard, Brycee Thomas, Kaveri Hill, Heather Brooks, Caislyn Crozier, Haven Ketcher, Casey Hagar, Harlie Smith, Avery Knight, and Andraya Ford.
2021 Maryetta Public School Valedictorian is Harlie Jo Smith, daughter of Michael and Misty Smith and granddaughter of Gary Nelson, Debra Nelson, Lydia English, and the late Dan Smith. Harlie has a GPA of 4.0. While at Maryetta, Harlie has been a member of the cross country, basketball, cheer, soccer, and track teams, and was in the Service and Leadership Club, 4-H Club, and Habitudes. She is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, a member of the Cherokee Nation Wings Program and recently received the Cherokee Nation Trail of Tears Excellence Award. Her hobbies include watching movies, hiking, hanging out with family and friends, and riding four wheelers. She is undecided on which high school she will attend.
2021Salutatorian is Brycee Jae Thomas. Brycee lives in Stilwell
with her parents, Travis and Maranda Thomas, and younger brother, Braxton. She enjoys spending time with her family as often as possible. She has a special relationship with all of her grandparents who include Chuck and Shamil Glass; Lisa and Duane Jensen; Frankie Hargis; and Randy and Jessica Thomas.
Brycee is a driven athlete along with being a driven student. She plays softball, basketball, archery, and is considering golf in high school as well. When she has down time, Brycee enjoys talking to her friends, watching NetFlix and TikTok, cheering on her brother at golf tournaments and hanging out with her puppy, Roscoe. Brycee plans to attend Stilwell High School in the fall.
