Baseball: The Indian’s baseball team won a pair of games last week, beating Checotah 16-7 and Sallisaw Central 4-0, advancing to the Checotah Tournament Championship Game on Saturday against Wagoner. Stilwell fell just short vs. Wagoner on Saturday with a final score of 2-1. 

Players who made the All-Tournament team: Tyrus Teehee, Jesse Armstrong and Chase Stephens. The Indians start their playoff run next week. Time, location and opponent is TBA. Information provided by head coach Derek Kennedy.

 

Softball: Nothing last week, but Regionals begin this week. Information provided by Head Coach Kyle Decker.

Soccer: Last Tuesday the Lady Indians run-ruled Sallisaw 10-0 with 12 minutes remaining in the second half. Kinley Catron made a team high 4-goals while her teammate, Junior Madison Glave, recorded her first hat-trick. Freshman Ava Price was able to score her first goal of the season as well. The Women’s team will host Grove on Tuesday and travel to Westville in an attempt to bring home the ‘Battle of Baron Fork’ Trophy on Thursday during the final game of the season. For the Men’s team, Senior Dejvi Verushi recorded his first hat-trick of the season while Sophomore Cole Grimmett and Senior Gustavo Flores scored their first goals of the season in the 9-0 win over Sallisaw. Both teams were eliminated from State, losing to Cascia Hall on Friday. Information provided by Head Coach Andrew Fletcher.

 

Girls Golf: The Women's golf team traveled to Pryor Creek on Monday and Bailey Ranch on Thursday, competing well against many different 4A schools. Regionals begin on Tuesday at Pryor Creek as the Lady Indians hope to clinch a spot in the State Tournament. Information provided by head coach Dylan Leach.
