We are studying the real part of us, who we are, the soul. Through this series we have seen many instances in our Bible whereby folks who have departed are not dead, but their soul is somewhere else. Now the body or vehicle they were in is dead and in the ground awaiting the resurrection. And we know God in the beginning created us as three-part beings, Spirit, soul and body, 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
But because of sin entering in the world, it affects all areas of life especially the body. We see in Luke 16:19-31 the account of the rich man and Lazarus. In reading this we see how Lazarus was carried by the angels to Abraham’s Bosom, a paradise place under the earth. Note the rich man is in a place of torment on the other side of Paradise. In verse 23 he lifted up his eyes being in torment. Interesting the soul has eyes, and he was feeling the torment of the flame, verse 24, although his body was in the ground, he had his feelings intact.
We know this account is in the Gospels under the law as the Revelation of the mystery (Grace) given to Paul was not revealed yet. So, in articles to come we will discuss where the Old Testament saints are at currently, and in the age of Grace where those saints are at and go at death.
The gospel that saves. "I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures,” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJB)
Blessings to all
