A history of the Strawberry Festival

The first girls to compete for the Stilwell Strawberry Festival queen, from left are: Patsy Lynn Eads, Reba Jean Jount, Wanda Lee Brown, Betty Ford, Peggy Sue DeLozer, eva Dean Gaches and Patsy Reed. The contest was held on the Adair County Courthouse steps in 1948.
